In 1599, Bartlme Grassmayr cast his very first bell in Tyrol. The expertise of Grassmayr Bell Foundry and the secret of bell construction ("ribbing”) have been carefully guarded every since - continually improved upon through scientific research, and successively handed down from father to son – a tradition preserved for more than 14 generations.

All over the world – in nearly 100 countries – bells from Grassmayr Bell Foundry in Tyrol can be heard tolling: for God's honour and people's delight.
